很高興同各位相聚在黃海之濱的山東青島。首先，我謹(jǐn)代表中國(guó)政府和中國(guó)人民，并以我個(gè)人的名義，對(duì)來(lái)華出席上海合作組織成員國(guó)元首理事會(huì)會(huì)議的各國(guó)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人和國(guó)際組織負(fù)責(zé)人，對(duì)各位來(lái)賓，表示熱烈的歡迎！
It is such a pleasure to have you with us here
in Qingdao, Shandong Province, on the shore of the Yellow Sea. I wish to extend,
on behalf of the Chinese government and people and in my own name, a very warm
welcome to all of you, particularly the state leaders and heads of
international organizations who have come to attend the meeting of the Council
of Heads of Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
山東是孔子的故鄉(xiāng)和儒家文化發(fā)祥地。儒家思想是中華文明的重要組成部分。儒家倡導(dǎo)“大道之行，天下為公”，主張“協(xié)和萬(wàn)邦，和衷共濟(jì)，四海一家”。這種“和合”理念同“上海精神”有很多相通之處?！吧虾＞瘛眻?jiān)持互信、互利、平等、協(xié)商、尊重多樣文明、謀求共同發(fā)展，強(qiáng)調(diào)求同存異、合作共贏，在國(guó)際上獲得廣泛認(rèn)同和支持。
Shandong is the home province of Confucius and
birthplace of Confucianism. An integral part of Chinese civilization,
Confucianism believes that “a just cause should be pursued
for the common good” and champions harmony, unity
and a shared community for all nations. Its emphasis on unity and harmony has
much in common with the Shanghai Spirit, namely, mutual trust, mutual benefit,
equality, consultation, respect for diverse civilizations and pursuit of common
development. The Shanghai Spirit’s focus on seeking common ground
while setting aside differences and pursuing mutually beneficial cooperation
has won widespread international endorsement and support.
在“上海精神”引領(lǐng)下，本組織不僅在安全、經(jīng)濟(jì)、人文等合作領(lǐng)域取得豐碩成果，在機(jī)制建設(shè)方面也邁出歷史性步伐。如今，上海合作組織擁有8個(gè)成員國(guó)、4個(gè)觀(guān)察員國(guó)、6個(gè)對(duì)話(huà)伙伴，是維護(hù)地區(qū)安全、促進(jìn)共同發(fā)展、完善全球治理的重要力量。
Guided by the Shanghai Spirit, our organization
has delivered fruitful outcomes in security, economic and cultural cooperation
and made historic strides in institution-building. Today, with eight member
states, four observer states and six dialogue partners, the SCO has become an
important force for upholding regional security, promoting common development
and improving global governance.
青島是世界著名的“帆船之都”，許多船只從這里揚(yáng)帆起航、追逐夢(mèng)想。明天，我們將在這里舉行上海合作組織擴(kuò)員后的首次峰會(huì)，全面規(guī)劃本組織未來(lái)發(fā)展藍(lán)圖。
Qingdao is a famous international sailing
capital. It is from here that many ships set sail in pursuit of dreams.
Tomorrow, we will hold the first summit of the SCO after its expansion and draw
up a blueprint for its future growth.
讓我們以青島峰會(huì)為新的起點(diǎn)，高揚(yáng)“上海精神”的風(fēng)帆，齊心協(xié)力，乘風(fēng)破浪，共同開(kāi)啟上海合作組織發(fā)展新征程！
The Qingdao summit is a new departure point for
us. Together, let us hoist the sail of the Shanghai Spirit, break waves and
embark on a new voyage for our organization.
現(xiàn)在，我提議，大家共同舉杯，
Now please join me in a toast,
為青島峰會(huì)圓滿(mǎn)成功，
to the success of the Qingdao
summit,
為各國(guó)發(fā)展繁榮、人民幸福安康，
to the prosperity of our countries and the
happiness of our people,
為上海合作組織的美好明天，
to a brighter future of the SCO, and
為各位來(lái)賓和家人的健康，
to the health of all of you and your families.
