習近平總書記在十九屆中共中央政治局常委同中外記者見面時的講話
10月25日，在中共十九屆一中全會上當選的中共中央總書記習近平和中央政治局常委李克強、栗戰書、汪洋、王滬寧、趙樂際、韓正在北京人民大會堂同采訪十九大的中外記者見面。
女士們、先生們，同志們、朋友們：大家好！
Ladies
and gentlemen, comrades and friends, good morning!
昨天，中國共產黨第十九次全國代表大會已經閉幕。
The
19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China was concluded
yesterday.
這次來了很多記者朋友，許多是遠道而來。大家對會議作了大量、充分的報道，引起了全世界廣泛關注。你們辛苦了！我向你們表示衷心的感謝！
The
Party Congress has received extensive and detailed reporting by far friends
from the press with many of you coming from the far. You have worked very hard
and your media coverage has captured attention of the world. I want to say a
big think-you to you all.
大會開幕以來，有165個國家452個主要政黨發來855份賀電賀信。其中，有814份是國家元首、政府首腦、政黨和重要組織機構領導人發來的。在此，我謹代表中國共產黨中央委員會，向他們表示誠摯的謝意！
Since
the opening of the 19th CPC National Congress，452 major political
parties in 165 countries have sent 855 messages of congratulation, of these 814
came from heads of state or government, or the leaders of political parties or
important organizations. On behalf of the CPC Central Committee, I wish to
convey our sincere appreciation to them all.
在剛才召開的中共十九屆一中全會上，選舉產生了新一屆中共中央領導機構，全會選舉我繼續擔任中共中央委員會總書記。這是對我的肯定，更是鞭策和激勵。
We
just held the first plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee and
elected a new central leadership. I was re-elected general secretary of the CPC
Central Committee. I see this as not just approval of my work, but also
encouragement that will spur me on.
現在，我向大家介紹一下當選的其他6位常委同事：李克強同志、栗戰書同志、汪洋同志、王滬寧同志、趙樂際同志、韓正同志。其中，李克強同志是十八屆中共中央政治局常委，其他五位同志都是十八屆中共中央政治局委員，大家可以通過媒體渠道獲得更多有關他們的資料。
Now,
I wish to present to you the other six members who are also be elected to the
Standing Committee of the Political Bureau: Comrade Li Keqiang, Comrade Li
Zhanshu, Comrade Wang Yang, Comrade Wang Huning, Comrade Zhao Leji and Comrade
Han Zheng. Comrade Li Keqiang served on the Standing Committee of the
Political Bureau of the 18th CPC Central Committee, while all the others were
members of the Political Bureau of the 18th CPC Central Committee. You can

在這里，我代表新一屆中共中央領導成員，衷心感謝全黨同志對我們的信任。我們一定恪盡職守、勤勉工作、不辱使命、不負重托。
Here,
on behalf of the newly elected central leadership, I wish to express our
heartfelt thanks to all other members of the Party for the trust they have
placed in us. We will work diligently to meet our duty, fulfill our mission and
be worthy of their trust.
過去的5年，我們做了很多工作，有的已經完成了，有的還要接著做下去。中共十九大又提出了新目標新任務，我們要統籌抓好落實。
Over
the past five year, we have set up a broad agenda. Some tasks have been
completed, while others need more work. This Party Congress has set new goals
and new tasks. We must make coordinated efforts to see them through.
經過長期努力，中國特色社會主義進入了新時代。新時代要有新氣象，更要有新作為。中共十九大到二十大的5年，正處在實現“兩個一百年”奮斗目標的歷史交匯期，第一個百年目標要實現，第二個百年奮斗目標要開篇。這其中有一些重要的時間節點，是我們工作的坐標。
With
decades of hard work, socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new
era. In this new context, we must get a new look and, more importantly, make
new accomplishments. The coming 5 years between the 19th and the
20th Party Congresses, it’s the period in which the timeframes of the Two
Centenary Goals will converge. Not only must we deliver the first centenary
goal, we must also embark on the journey toward the second centenary goal. As I
look ahead to the next five years, I see several important junctures and
signposts.
——2018年，我們將迎來改革開放40周年。改革開放是決定當代中國命運的關鍵一招，40年的改革開放使中國人民生活實現了小康，逐步富裕起來了。我們將總結經驗、乘勢而上，繼續推進國家治理體系和治理能力現代化，堅定不移深化各方面改革，堅定不移擴大開放，使改革和開放相互促進、相得益彰。我堅信，中華民族偉大復興必將在改革開放的進程中得以實現。
In
2018, we will marks the 40th anniversary of the launch of reform and
opening-up. Reform and opening-up is a crucial move that is shaping China's
future. Forty years of reform and opening-up has made it possible for our
people to lead decent and even comfortable lives. We will review our
experience and build on the good momentum to continue modernizing China's
system and capacity for governance, and make determined efforts to
comprehensively deepen reform and open China still wider to the world. We
will see that the reform and opening-up complement and reinforce each other. It
is my conviction that the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation will become
a reality in the course of reform and opening-up.
——2019年，我們將迎來中華人民共和國成立70周年。我們將貫徹新發展理念，推動中國經濟持續健康發展，惠及中國人民和各國人民。我們將繼續落實好“十三五”規劃確定的各項任務，并對未來發展作出新的規劃，推動各項事業全面發展，把我們的人民共和國建設得更加繁榮富強。
In
2019, we will mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s
Republic of China. We will act on the new vision for development, and strive
for sustained and healthy economic growth that benefits people in China and
around the world. We will continue our efforts to accomplish all the tasks laid
down in the 13th Five-Year Plan, develop new blueprints for China's future, and
see the flourishing of all our endeavors. These efforts will contribute toward
a more prosperous and strong People's Republic.
——2020年，我們將全面建成小康社會。全面建成小康社會，一個不能少；共同富裕路上，一個不能掉隊。我們將舉全黨全國之力，堅決完成脫貧攻堅任務，確保兌現我們的承諾。我們要牢記人民對美好生活的向往就是我們的奮斗目標，堅持以人民為中心的發展思想，努力抓好保障和改善民生各項工作，不斷增強人民的獲得感、幸福感、安全感，不斷推進全體人民共同富裕。我堅信，中國人民生活一定會一年更比一年好。
In
2020, we will establish a moderately prosperous society across all metrics.
This is a society to be enjoyed by each and every one of us; on the march
toward common prosperity, no one must be left behind. We’ll mobilized the whole
Party and the whole country in a resolute push to deliver on our pledge to
alleviate poverty in China. The aspirations of the people to live a better life
must always be the focus of our efforts. We must remain committed to a
people-centered philosophy of development, strive to ensure and improve living
standards and make steady progress toward enhancing our people's sense of
fulfillment, happiness and security, and towards realizing common prosperity
for everyone. I have no doubt in my mind that our people's lives will see
further improvement year after year.
——2021年，我們將迎來中國共產黨成立100周年。中國共產黨立志于中華民族千秋偉業，百年恰是風華正茂！中國共產黨是世界上最大的政黨。大就要有大的樣子。實踐充分證明，中國共產黨能夠帶領人民進行偉大的社會革命，也能夠進行偉大的自我革命。我們要永葆蓬勃朝氣，永遠做人民公仆、時代先鋒、民族脊梁。全面從嚴治黨永遠在路上，不能有任何喘口氣、歇歇腳的念頭。我們將繼續清除一切侵蝕黨的健康肌體的病毒，大力營造風清氣正的政治生態，以全黨的強大正能量在全社會凝聚起推動中國發展進步的磅礴力量。
In
2021, we will mark the centenary of the Communist Party of China. For a
party which fights for the eternal wellbeing of the Chinese nation, the
centenary only ushers in the prime of life. As the world's largest political
party, the CPC must behave in a way commensurate with this status. It’s history
make it abundantly clear that the CPC is capable of not only spearheading a
great social revolution but also imposing a great reform on itself. We, as its
members, must always have useful spirit and forever be the servant of the
people, the vanguard of the time, and the backbone of our nation. Exercising
full and rigorous governance of the Party is a journey to which there is no
end. We should never entertain the idea of taking a breath or halting our
steps. Instead, we must continue to rid ourselves of any virus that erodes the
Party's fabric, make great efforts to foster a healthy political environment of
integrity, and generate waves of positive energy throughout our Party, which
then can build into a mighty and nationwide force driving China's development
and progress.
中國共產黨和中國人民從苦難中走過來，深知和平的珍貴、發展的價值。中國人民自信自尊，將堅定維護國家主權、安全、發展利益，同時將同各國人民一道，積極推動構建人類命運共同體，不斷為人類和平與發展的崇高事業作出新的更大的貢獻。
The
Communist Party of China and Chinese people have gone through trials and
tribulation. These experiences have taught us that peace is precious and
development must be valued. With confidence and pride, the Chinese people will
be steadfast in upholding our country's sovereignty, security and development
interests. We will also work with other nations to build a global community
with a shared future, and make new and greater contributions to the noble cause
of peace and development for all humanity.
歷史是人民書寫的，一切成就歸功于人民。只要我們深深扎根人民、緊緊依靠人民，就可以獲得無窮的力量，風雨無阻，奮勇向前。
The
People are the creators of history. It is to them that we owe all our achievements.
As long as we firmly ally ourselves with the people, rely on them, we can and
will have boundless energy forge ahead. Come rain or shine.
俗語說，百聞不如一見。我們歡迎各位記者朋友在中國多走走、多看看，繼續關注中共十九大之后中國的發展變化，更加全面地了解和報道中國。我們不需要更多的溢美之詞，我們一貫歡迎客觀的介紹和有益的建議，正所謂“不要人夸顏色好，只留清氣滿乾坤”。
As
a saying goes, it is better to saying once than to hear a hundred times. We
encourage the members of the press to visit and see more China. We hope that
after the Party Congress, you will continue to follow China's development and
progress, and learn about and report on more dimensions of China. We do not
need lavish praise from others, however, we do welcome objective reporting and
constructive suggestions. For this is our motto: “Not angling for
compliments, I would be content that my integrity fills the universe”.
